Description
Materials and Construction
The Ridgewall soft shell jacket is built with a WindWall outer shell that resists abrasion and wind, with wind permeability rated at less than 10 CFM. The solid colorway uses 306 g/m2 WindWall fabric made from 100% recycled post-consumer polyester, while heather versions use 316 g/m2 WindWall polyester. A non-PFC durable water-repellent (DWR) finish adds light water resistance.
Comfort and Fit
Inside, a brushed micro-gridded fleece interior provides warmth and breathability. The jacket includes a reverse-coil center front zipper, hand pockets, and an interior hem cinch-cord for adjustability. The embroidered The North Face logo appears on the left chest and right back shoulder.
Branding and Use
This mid-weight soft shell is suited for active outdoor use, offering a technical layer that moves with the wearer. The embroidery decoration method provides a durable, textured mark that holds bold logos and lettering cleanly.

Decoration & Imprint
1 method
Your logo is embroidered on the left chest and right back shoulder of the jacket. Embroidery is best for logos and lettering built from bold, solid shapes, where a raised, textured finish adds value.
EmbroideryFull-color imprint · 1 location included · one-time setup $35.00
Embroidery stitches your design directly into the fabric, building artwork from dense, interlocking threads rather than laying ink on the surface. Each color is its own thread in a solid shade. The result is a raised, tactile mark with the soft sheen of thread and a slightly dimensional edge. Each shape reads as a clean, saturated block, and the sewn-in design resists fading, peeling, and wear through repeated washing.

From our decoration and product guides
- What does an embroidered logo look like?
- Embroidery stitches the design directly into the fabric, building the artwork from dense, interlocking threads rather than laying ink on the surface. Each color is its own thread in a solid shade. The result is a raised, tactile mark with the soft sheen of thread and a slightly dimensional edge, and the sewn-in design resists fading, peeling and wear through repeated washing. - What artwork is a poor fit for embroidery?
- Hairline strokes, very small type and continuous-tone gradients. Each stitch occupies real space in the fabric, so fine lines and small text round off and shading cannot be reproduced. Embroidery is at its best with logos and lettering built from bold, solid shapes, where each color stitches as its own thread shade. For photographic or gradient artwork choose a full-color method; for crisp hairline detail choose screen print. More about Embroidery →
- How are embroidery thread colors matched to my brand colors?
- Each color in the design is stitched in a solid thread shade chosen to match your artwork. Where a product offers it, Pantone (PMS) color matching is an option for an additional charge per color, selecting the thread closest to your Pantone reference; otherwise the embroiderer picks the nearest standard thread color.
