Applique (tackle twill) cuts your design into contrasting fabric shapes and stitches them onto the item, each edge secured in thread so the shape sits slightly proud of the base. - What artwork is a poor fit for embroidery?
- Hairline strokes, very small type and continuous-tone gradients. Each stitch occupies real space in the fabric, so fine lines and small text round off and shading cannot be reproduced.
