Decoration & Imprint

Your logo can be placed on the front cover of the portfolio. Screen printing applies bold, opaque ink directly onto the leather, while debossing presses a recessed, ink-free impression for a tonal look. Laser etching creates a permanent, recessed mark in the material's own tone. For artwork with fine lines or small text, laser etching is recommended; for bold shapes and solid colors, screen printing works best.

Screen printing presses ink through a fine mesh stencil, laying down each color as a separate pass. Each color lays down as its own premixed spot ink, printing solid and consistent across the run. The applied mark is flat and opaque, sitting on top of the material with crisp edges; on heavy coverage, you can feel a slight raised texture where ink builds up. The cured ink is durable and holds up to repeated handling and washing.

Debossing presses your design into the material with a heated die, displacing the surface to leave a recessed impression below the surrounding plane. No ink, no added color. The mark is the substrate itself — a tonal, shadowed shape that catches light along its pressed edges and gives tactile depth under a fingertip. On grained leatherette the recess burnishes slightly darker; bold logos and simple type carry well, while intricate detail rounds and loses definition.

Laser engraving uses a focused beam to etch your design directly into the surface, leaving a permanent, recessed mark with clean, sharp edges that hold fine lines and small text. The result carries no separate ink: it reads in the substrate's own tone — a lighter shade on metal, a darker burn on wood — with a depth you can feel and a mark that resists fading, wear, and scratching.
