Description
Built for the job
The Carhartt Ashland Cap is cut from 100% firm-hand cotton duck canvas, the same rugged material that defines Carhartt workwear. Its structured, high-profile silhouette holds its shape through long days, while the Carhartt Force sweatband actively fights odors and FastDry technology wicks sweat to keep you cool.
Ready for your mark
A Carhartt label is sewn on the front, and the back panel is embroidered with the Carhartt name. This gives you two clean surfaces for your own embroidery, letting you add a raised, textured logo that stands up to repeated wear.
One size fits most
An adjustable plastic snap closure lets the cap fit a wide range of head sizes, making it a practical choice for teams and staff. The cotton duck fabric is durable and easy to care for, keeping your branded item looking sharp event after event.

Decoration & Imprint
1 method
Your logo is embroidered on the front or back of the cap, stitched directly into the cotton duck fabric for a raised, textured finish. Embroidery holds bold shapes and readable lettering cleanly, making it ideal for logos and text built from solid colors.
EmbroideryFull-color imprint · 1 location included · one-time setup $35.00
Embroidery stitches your design directly into the fabric, building artwork from dense, interlocking threads rather than laying ink on the surface. Each color is its own thread in a solid shade. The result is a raised, tactile mark with the soft sheen of thread and a slightly dimensional edge. Each shape reads as a clean, saturated block, and the sewn-in design resists fading, peeling, and wear through repeated washing.

From our decoration and product guides
- What does an embroidered logo look like?
- Embroidery stitches the design directly into the fabric, building the artwork from dense, interlocking threads rather than laying ink on the surface. Each color is its own thread in a solid shade. The result is a raised, tactile mark with the soft sheen of thread and a slightly dimensional edge, and the sewn-in design resists fading, peeling and wear through repeated washing. - What artwork is a poor fit for embroidery?
- Hairline strokes, very small type and continuous-tone gradients. Each stitch occupies real space in the fabric, so fine lines and small text round off and shading cannot be reproduced. Embroidery is at its best with logos and lettering built from bold, solid shapes, where each color stitches as its own thread shade. For photographic or gradient artwork choose a full-color method; for crisp hairline detail choose screen print. More about Embroidery →
- How are embroidery thread colors matched to my brand colors?
- Each color in the design is stitched in a solid thread shade chosen to match your artwork. Where a product offers it, Pantone (PMS) color matching is an option for an additional charge per color, selecting the thread closest to your Pantone reference; otherwise the embroiderer picks the nearest standard thread color.
