For multi-colored or highly detailed artwork, pad printing is also available, applying a thin, flat layer of ink that conforms to curved surfaces. Choose laser etching for a subtle, durable mark, or pad printing when your design requires added color.

The result carries no separate ink: it reads in the substrate's own tone — a lighter shade on metal, a darker burn on wood — with a depth you can feel and a mark that resists fading, wear, and scratching.

Pad printing (tampography) transfers ink from a silicone pad onto the item, flexing into curves, angles, and recessed areas flat application can't follow. The result is a thin, nearly flush ink layer with well-defined edges — each color prints as an opaque spot-ink solid, holding evenly on contoured or darker surfaces; cured ink resists everyday wear.
