Description
Materials and Construction
The Recon rPET 15 Can Cooler Backpack is crafted from 600D rPET polyester, a fabric made by melting down existing plastic bottles and other material sources to create new polyester fiber. The bag features EPE foam insulation and a white PEVA lining to keep contents cool. Note that the foam, lining, zipper, buckle, labels, and handles are not made from rPET.
Storage and Comfort
With a zippered main compartment, front slip pocket, and side mesh pocket, this backpack holds up to 15 cans. Adjustable padded shoulder straps and web carrying handles provide comfortable transport, while a 4-inch gusset adds capacity. The 20-inch carrying handles offer an alternative grip.
Care and Maintenance
To maintain the backpack's appearance, spot clean and air dry. This simple care routine helps preserve the recycled polyester fabric and keeps the bag looking good for repeated use.

Decoration & Imprint
4 methods
Your logo can be placed on the front panel of the backpack. Screen printing applies crisp, opaque ink directly onto the fabric, embroidery adds a raised, textured stitch, and heat transfer bonds a smooth, thin layer of color. For bold spot-color artwork, screen printing or embroidery work well; for a smooth, low-profile mark, choose heat transfer.
Screen PrintPMS1 color/location included · one-time setup $45.00 · Up to 2 colors
Screen printing presses ink through a fine mesh stencil, laying down each color as a separate pass. Each color lays down as its own premixed spot ink, printing solid and consistent across the run. The applied mark is flat and opaque, sitting on top of the material with crisp edges; on heavy coverage, you can feel a slight raised texture where ink builds up. The cured ink is durable and holds up to repeated handling and washing.
EmbroideryPMSone-time setup $100.00 · Full color
Embroidery stitches your design directly into the fabric, building artwork from dense, interlocking threads rather than laying ink on the surface. Each color is its own thread in a solid shade. The result is a raised, tactile mark with the soft sheen of thread and a slightly dimensional edge. Each shape reads as a clean, saturated block, and the sewn-in design resists fading, peeling, and wear through repeated washing.
Heat TransferPMSone-time setup $95.00 · Up to 4 colors
Heat transfer prints your design in premixed spot inks onto a film, then bonds that film to the surface under heat and pressure. Each color goes down as its own solid ink, so edges stay crisp and color stays even across the mark. The result reads as a smooth, thin bonded layer — low-profile and flexible enough to move with the fabric, not ink soaked into the cloth.
Embroidery — 3D PuffPMSno setup charge · Full color
3D embroidery (puff embroidery) places foam beneath the thread, then wraps stitching over it so the design lifts off the surface as dimensional, sculpted relief. The mark reads as rounded, shadowed contours with real height and a soft tactile edge. Thread colors are saturated and wash-durable; bold shapes hold cleanly while fine lines soften under the foam.

From our decoration and product guides
- What does a screen-printed logo look like on a promotional product?
- Screen printing presses ink through a fine mesh stencil, one pass per color. Each color lays down as its own premixed spot ink, so the mark is flat, opaque and consistent across the run, with crisp edges that sit on top of the material. On heavy coverage you can feel a slight raised texture where the ink builds up, and the cured ink holds up to repeated handling and washing. More about Screen Print →
- Which artwork works best for screen printing?
- Bold spot-color shapes, blocks of solid color and simple lettering, where you want strong, opaque coverage that reads clearly. Screen printing holds clean edges on solid shapes and standard lettering, but very fine hairlines, smooth gradients and photographic blends lose definition because each color prints as a flat solid layer. For gradient or photographic artwork choose a full-color process method instead. More about Screen Print →
- Can a screen print match my exact Pantone color?
- Yes. Because every color is a separate, premixed spot ink, screen printing can be mixed to a specific Pantone (PMS) number. Where a product offers it, Pantone matching is an option for an additional charge per color; without it the printer uses the closest standard stock ink color. More about Screen Print →
