Description
This pen holder and bud vase is cut from optical crystal in a square form measuring 5 by 4 1/4 by 1 1/2 inches. A 1 1/2-inch opening at the top holds pens upright or a single flower stem, and the clear front face provides a broad surface for an engraved message.
Two laser methods are available. Laser — Deep Etch carves a recessed mark with bold contrast and a texture you can feel, while Laser — 3D Subsurface builds a dimensional image suspended inside the crystal with the outer surfaces left smooth. Both suit the recognition pieces this award format is made for.
Decoration & Imprint

Engraving lands on the clear front face of the crystal, with the 1 1/2-inch opening at the top left unobstructed. Laser — Deep Etch produces a recessed surface mark, while Laser — 3D Subsurface forms a dimensional image inside the material; choose deep etch for bold logos and lettering, and 3D subsurface for layered artwork meant to read as a floating image.
Laser — Deep Etchno setup charge
Deep etching carves your design well into the surface, removing material to leave a recessed, permanent mark. Running deeper than a standard laser pass, the result is strongly dimensional and contoured. The finished mark is the material itself — bare carved tone with crisp shadowed contrast where the cut catches light against the untouched surface. You get a mark you can both see and feel, reading as permanent and material rather than printed on.
Laser — 3D Subsurfaceno setup charge
3D laser engraving focuses laser pulses to precise depths inside a clear, hard substrate, creating tiny internal fracture points that together build a layered, dimensional image beneath the surface. The design appears to float within the material while the outer faces stay smooth and unmarked. It reads as a frosted, light-catching form with genuine front-to-back depth, holds fine internal detail, and, because the marks are enclosed within the substrate, resists surface wear.
