The Montabella Journal measures 5.85 by 8.75 inches and carries a soft faux leather cover over non-dated pages. A ribbon page marker holds your place, and a pen slot at the top of the journal keeps a pen within reach; the pen is not included.
Foil stamping presses colored metallic foil into the cover, leaving a reflective, mirror-bright mark with crisp edges and a faint pressed-in impression. Solid shapes and bold lettering hold up best, since fine lines and small text can soften as the foil presses in.

Foil stamping (hot stamping) presses a thin metallic foil onto the surface with a heated metal die, bonding it where the die makes contact and leaving a shallow pressed-in impression. The mark reads as a single reflective metallic tone: it throws light at some angles and darkens to an outline of itself at others, giving the logo depth against the base. Solid shapes and bold lettering hold cleanly; very fine lines and small text can soften as the foil seats under pressure.
