Materials and construction
The Moleskine Hard Cover Plain Large Notebook is bound in a black hard cover with rounded corners, a bookmark, and an elastic strap closure. Inside, 240 pages (120 sheets) of FSC-certified, acid-free paper provide a smooth surface for notes, sketches, and ideas. The paper's acid-free composition helps prevent yellowing, keeping your work looking fresh.
Design and customization
An expandable inner pocket offers space for loose papers, while the plain format suits both writing and drawing. The notebook is PVC-free and made in Ecuador. For branding, the cover can be customized with digital print, deboss, or foil stamp, allowing your logo or design to be applied in a way that matches your brand's style.

Decoration & Imprint
4 methods
Your imprint is placed on the front cover of the notebook. Digital Print applies full-color CMYK ink in one pass for photographic detail, Deboss presses a recessed ink-free impression for a tactile mark, and Foil Stamp adds a reflective metallic finish. For multi-color artwork, Digital Print is recommended; for a tonal, dimensional look, choose Deboss; for a bright metallic accent, Foil Stamp works best.
Digital PrintFull-color imprint · 1 location included · one-time setup $110.00
Digital printing sends artwork straight from file to the item — no plates or per-color screens — laying all colors down in a single pass. It carries photographs, gradients, drop shadows, and dense multi-color artwork at high resolution, reading as a flat image on the surface. A specific brand color is rendered as a close full-color process simulation rather than an exact spot ink, and on colored items the substrate shifts the appearance.
Debossone-time setup $70.00
Debossing presses your design into the material with a heated die, displacing the surface to leave a recessed impression below the surrounding plane. No ink, no added color. The mark is the substrate itself — a tonal, shadowed shape that catches light along its pressed edges and gives tactile depth under a fingertip. On grained leatherette the recess burnishes slightly darker; bold logos and simple type carry well, while intricate detail rounds and loses definition.
Foil Stamp1 color/location included · one-time setup $70.00 · 1 color
Foil stamping (hot stamping) presses a thin metallic foil onto the surface with a heated metal die, bonding it where the die makes contact and leaving a shallow pressed-in impression. The mark reads as a single reflective metallic tone: it throws light at some angles and darkens to an outline of itself at others, giving the logo depth against the base. Solid shapes and bold lettering hold cleanly; very fine lines and small text can soften as the foil seats under pressure.

- Does digital printing match Pantone colors exactly?
- A specific brand color is rendered as a close full-color process simulation rather than an exact spot ink, and on colored items the substrate shifts the appearance. Digital printing is the right choice when the artwork is photographic, has gradients or carries more colors than clean solids can capture. When a brand color must reproduce as an exact, edge-to-edge solid, choose screen print. More about Full Color →
