For full-color artwork, heat transfer applies a photographic, multi-color layer onto the surface; for etched designs with solid fill colors, laser colorfill back-fills the etched areas. Running deeper than a standard laser pass, the result is strongly dimensional and contoured. The finished mark is the material itself — bare carved tone with crisp shadowed contrast where the cut catches light against the untouched surface. You get a mark you can both see and feel, reading as permanent and material rather than printed on.
