The Dome Award is cut entirely from optical crystal, a clear solid material that lets light pass through the body rather than sitting on the surface. A rectangular form rises to a domed top, giving the piece a clean, upright silhouette that reads well from across a room.
Four sizes are offered, from a 2 x 4 x 2 in. desktop piece at 3 lbs up to a 3 1/2 x 10 x 3 1/2 in. award at 12.5 lbs. The larger sizes carry a substantial hand feel, and the clear crystal keeps the form consistent across the range.
The face provides room for an employee's name and title alongside a company logo and a brief message. Your artwork is placed on the face of the crystal body, where the rectangular front offers room for a name, title, logo, and short message. Laser — Deep Etch suits bold, clean logos and lettering that benefit from a recessed, tactile mark; Laser — 3D Subsurface suits layered artwork meant to read as a floating image inside the crystal; Heat Transfer — Illumachrome suits photographic images, gradients, and detailed multi-color artwork.
Laser — Deep Etchno setup charge
Deep etching carves your design well into the surface, removing material to leave a recessed, permanent mark. Running deeper than a standard laser pass, the result is strongly dimensional and contoured. The finished mark is the material itself — bare carved tone with crisp shadowed contrast where the cut catches light against the untouched surface. You get a mark you can both see and feel, reading as permanent and material rather than printed on.
Laser — 3D Subsurfaceno setup charge
3D laser engraving focuses laser pulses to precise depths inside a clear, hard substrate, creating tiny internal fracture points that together build a layered, dimensional image beneath the surface. The design appears to float within the material while the outer faces stay smooth and unmarked. It reads as a frosted, light-catching form with genuine front-to-back depth, holds fine internal detail, and, because the marks are enclosed within the substrate, resists surface wear.
Heat Transfer — Illumachromeno setup charge · Full color
Illumachrome prints a full-color image directly into the crystal, fusing artwork to the surface so it becomes part of the piece rather than a coating on top. The result reads with photographic depth: fine detail, smooth gradients, and continuous tonal shading show through the clear material with no raised edge or texture to the touch. Photos, complex illustrations, and shaded logos reproduce faithfully, with brand colors simulated close to true rather than matched exactly.
