Description
Crystal Craftsmanship
The Cooper Rectangle is a paperweight made from optical crystal, a material chosen for its clarity and light-catching properties. Its rectangular form provides a substantial presence on any desk, and the crystal's polished surfaces reflect light to create a refined look. Available in three sizes, it offers flexibility to suit different spaces and preferences.
Customization Options
This paperweight can be personalized with your choice of artwork using several decoration methods. Laser deep etching carves a recessed mark into the surface, creating a tactile, permanent imprint. Laser 3D subsurface engraving forms a dimensional image inside the crystal, leaving the outer surface smooth. Illumachrome heat transfer prints a full-color image directly into the crystal, allowing for photographic detail and gradients.
A Thoughtful Gift
As a branded item, the Cooper Rectangle serves as a distinctive gift for employee recognition or service milestones. Its crystal construction conveys a sense of value and permanence, making it a suitable token of appreciation that recipients can display with pride.
Decoration & Imprint
3 methods
Your artwork is imprinted on the top face of the crystal paperweight. For a permanent, tactile mark, choose Laser — Deep Etch, which carves a recessed design into the surface. For a dimensional image suspended inside the crystal, Laser — 3D Subsurface creates a layered engraving with the outer surface left smooth. For full-color photographic detail, Heat Transfer — Illumachrome prints the image directly into the crystal. Choose the method that best suits your artwork: deep etch for bold logos and lettering, 3D subsurface for depth-bearing designs, or Illumachrome for photographic images and gradients.
Laser — Deep Etch1 location included · no setup charge
Deep etching carves your design well into the surface, removing material to leave a recessed, permanent mark. Running deeper than a standard laser pass, the result is strongly dimensional and contoured. The finished mark is the material itself — bare carved tone with crisp shadowed contrast where the cut catches light against the untouched surface. You get a mark you can both see and feel, reading as permanent and material rather than printed on.
Laser — 3D Subsurface1 location included · no setup charge
3D laser engraving focuses laser pulses to precise depths inside a clear, hard substrate, creating tiny internal fracture points that together build a layered, dimensional image beneath the surface. The design appears to float within the material while the outer faces stay smooth and unmarked. It reads as a frosted, light-catching form with genuine front-to-back depth, holds fine internal detail, and, because the marks are enclosed within the substrate, resists surface wear.
Heat Transfer — IllumachromeFull-color imprint · 1 location included · no setup charge
Illumachrome prints a full-color image directly into the crystal, fusing artwork to the surface so it becomes part of the piece rather than a coating on top. The result reads with photographic depth: fine detail, smooth gradients, and continuous tonal shading show through the clear material with no raised edge or texture to the touch. Photos, complex illustrations, and shaded logos reproduce faithfully, with brand colors simulated close to true rather than matched exactly.

From our decoration and product guides
- What does laser engraving look like on a promotional product?
- Laser engraving uses a focused beam to etch the design directly into the surface, leaving a permanent, recessed mark with clean, sharp edges. There is no ink: the mark reads in the material's own tone, a lighter shade on metal and a darker burn on wood, with a depth you can feel. It resists fading, wear and scratching because nothing sits on top of the surface. More about Laser →
- Can laser engraving be done in my brand color?
- No. Engraving carries no added color and shows only the substrate's own tone, so a design that depends on brand colors, color contrast, gradients or photographic detail is a poor fit. It is the right choice for single-tone logos, fine line work and small text where a permanent, dimensional mark matters more than color. For printed spot color choose pad print or screen print. More about Laser →
- What is a heat transfer imprint?
- Heat transfer prints the design in premixed spot inks onto a film, then bonds that film to the surface under heat and pressure. Each color goes down as its own solid ink, so edges stay crisp and color stays even across the mark. The result is a smooth, thin bonded layer that flexes with the material rather than ink soaked into the cloth. More about Transfer →
